Information Services International-Dentsu, Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President, CEO & COO: Ryoichi Nawa; hereinafter, ISID), announces the establishment of Enterprise xR Center, a companywide virtual organization with the goal of strengthening xR business, as of November 24, 2020.
xR technology generally refers to technologies that combine the real and virtual worlds, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). As a technology that creates new experiences, xR technology is attracting attention for its potential application in gaming, events, and other entertainment-related sectors, as well as in a wide range of business fields, including education, medical care, manufacturing, and sales. The adoption and spread of xR technology are expected to accelerate due to progress in terms of corporate digital transformation, the launch of the new 5G (fifth-generation) telecommunications standard, and the onset of a “new normal” ushered in by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Key Roles of the Enterprise xR Center
1.Consulting services and system construction aimed at successful implementation of xR technology (hardware and software integration for high-resolution display devices, GPUs, etc.)
2.Development and distribution of xR-based solutions (remote collaboration, virtual training and stores, cognitive augmentation, etc.)
3.The development of new solutions and the creation of new businesses utilizing xR technology through collaboration with Dentsu Group.
